This document was written in SimpleText (that means it has style codes!)
What is it?
This is a piece of software which was originally written in Basic on an IBM-compatible. Being stubborn and refusing to believe that engineering was an IBM-only world, I have converted it into a Macintosh program. Please excuse any deviations from the Macintosh norm and for not presenting a more polished program- this is my first attempt at code which includes interface calls. If you have no clue as to what I'm talking about, just read on.
The code to calculate the stresses is unchanged, so if it gives wrong answers, I'm unaware of it. If you have better code for me to incorporate, by all means, send it!
How do I use it?
When the program first starts up, no windows or other information are displayed. Go to the Stress menu and choose Input Stresses. Enter the values. The program is set up to handle three-dimensional values, but if the data is only for two dimensions, just ignore the blanks which do not apply. When you're done, press return or click Calculate. A new window with all the calculated information will appear. If you want to go back to the previous values (before you click calculate!), click the restore button- your previous values will reappear.
This program is fairly technical in nature and is intended for anyone who is familiar with Stress theory, Mohr's circle, etc.
If there is enough interest in this program, heck, I might even add an option to save data to a file!

About the Picture
I drew the picture seen in visual aid using Ray Dream Designer 3.0.4. If you haven't already figured it out, you can size the window by dragging where the drag box should be. I didn't have time to figure out how to do it correctly and the Apple books I have weren't too clear on the matter...
